Greenwich Green

Located at 3515 SW 39th Blvd.

This place looks like it was built on a mountain. The price for a 2/2 was reasonable at $799 for the whole apartment, but the deposit, reservation fee and application fee would cost us $835 a person.  That's a lot of money up front. They were also pet friendly, but charged $100 plus $25 dollars a month per pet. They did offer a discount for adopted pets by dropping the monthly $25 charge. Their gym was  incredibly sad, with only 5 cardio machines crammed into such a tight space they were practically touching.  The pool was lack luster, but deeper than most. They also had tennis and racquetball courts, a computer lab and a putting green but we didn't see any of those. They had a tanning bed, which would interest anyone who hasn't gotten a burn from one of those things (not fun). Location wise, they were really too far. I'm pretty sure the 12 route ran by it and our tour guide told us it takes about 18 minutes to get to campus, but it seems pretty far away from everything. The appliances were also pretty outdated and the counter tops in the kitchen were pink. It also sucks that the 2/2s are all on the first floor, which means we might have to deal with elephants on the ceiling syndrome.

On the bright side:
They had a sizable porch, but no guarantee that the porch wouldn't be facing someone else's porch.
large closets
washer and dryer in the unit
pet friendly
large kitchen
small breakfast area

I can't rule this place out, but it didn't wow me. The price is in our range and they have all the important things we need, but it's not my first choice.
